and journey continues !!!

Joined Wipro Technologies on 18th December 2006. Kind of mixed emotions , as a pre requisite of joining any big company as an Information Security Consultant would invariably would mean lots travelling and that too abroad for months at stretch. This would mean working away from Simar. I was quite a respectable chap enjoying lots respect from both peers and Senior management in Perot Systems. But sometimes man thinks of moving ahead in career and life !

And so my first assignment came in through, an Identity Management project in Nottingham , UK for a big Financial Institution. Accepted the challenge though heavy hearted as I will be away from my family for 3 months. This would essentially mean lots pressure to Jas as she has to cope up with both work and Simar tantrums at nights.

I am curretly in Nottingham and the assignment has started not with that flare and flow whihc I had expected and planned it to be. Curretly this role as a Project manager and team lead is taking quite a toll on me and testing the patience.

Jas has taken up a brave front though she sometimes scolds me for not being with her since I had gone to France not so long back before heading to Nottingham . I am planning and god willingly Jas and Simar will come to Nottingham in April and we will then have loads of fun.

Spending weekend in gloomy English weather is never one wish for !!!!!

Nailed CISSP on 5th Aug 2006

Gave my CISSP exam on 5th August 2006 . Quite an exam , 6 hours of marathon exam. Not to mention the kind of preparation i have put in to give this exam. The exam was being conducted in (ISC)2 people in Savoy Suites , Noida .

Things happened fast. On 15th August, Independence day , got a mailer from (ISC)2 congratulating me on my success of passing the exam. It was quite a n achivement. Got accolades from family, peers , bosses.

I mailed all the relevant papers to Biju Mukund to get the neccessary endorcements & it happened quickly. I received my certificate on 25 th August .

A step forward

I am quite charged up after clearing CCSE , Management II exam on 17 th Oct 2005 . Have made up my mind to nail in CISSP exam and leap in to the field of consulting and auditing.

Also there is gonna be a another major change coming my way. A change called fatherhood. Jas is going thorough the 7 th month. Baby is due in mid Feb . I am all too geared up and excited for the bundle of joy coming my way.

A journey to Security Profile

Long i had thought to become a Security Consultant. Atlast i got the break in Perot Systems. I joined Perot Systesms in May 2004 . Had started off an an Unix geek but ultimately convinced the management to look in to the network securities. To prove myself i always kept my working standards higher ,made my myself approachable to my peers and cleared CCSA NG AI -Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator exam.
